The ring is entirely sterling silver - both the unique petal bezel setting for the stone, and the 2mm wide half round (or domed) cathedral band. The gemstone is an 8mm round bloodstone cabochon in an open backed bezel setting. Bloodstone is a natural dark green jasper - so dark that it is almost black - with reddish inclusions of haematite that resemble flecks of blood. It's also known as heliotrope.
